The University of Richmond women’s track and field team competed at the Penn Relays, with the distance medley relay team placing third on April 25.
The event is notable as one of the most prestigious collegiate track meets, drawing strong competition from across the country. Richmond’s performance in the distance medley relay highlighted their weekend results.
Brooke Reif, Morgan Elliott, Caroline Donohoe, and Hallie Muniz finished with a time of 11:10.30 in the distance medley relay. The splits for each athlete were Reif (3:23.76), Elliott (56.92), Donohoe (2:07.13), and Muniz (4:42.51). The team’s effort earned them a third-place finish among a competitive field.
In other events, Richmond’s 4×800-meter relay team placed eighth with a combined time of 8:56.52. The squad included Molly Flanagan (2:11.55), Ashley Bolesh (2:16.33), Mia Paolino (2:15.73), and Phoebe Rubio (2:12.92). In field events, Molly Wise finished ninth in the long jump with a mark of 5.69 meters while Sydney Phillips recorded an 11.59-meter jump.
Looking ahead, Richmond will compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships scheduled for May 2-3 in Fairfax, Virginia.
