On Saturday, April 26, former Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School standout Alyssa Jones’ current college team, the North Florida Ospreys, won 7-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Queens Royals.
The game took place at UNF Softball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Royals this season.
The Ospreys’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 at 12 p.m. at UNF Softball Complex against Queens Royals.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts announced it is mourning artist Mary Lovelace O’Neal following news that she passed away May 10. The museum highlighted both an ongoing exhibition dedicated to her work as well as upcoming events celebrating her legacy.
