Chesterfield County Public Schools announced on May 5 that six educators have been inducted into its Hall of Fame. The induction took place during an event on April 30, bringing the total number of honorees to 36 since the program began in 2022.
The Hall of Fame honors former employees and volunteers who have made a significant impact on students, schools, and the community. This year’s inductees are Gale Cushing, Sarah Fraher, Patricia Kelly, Mike Rose, Dr. Beth Teigen, and Alenia Wilder. According to the school system’s announcement, Wilder is recognized as the first woman to lead a high school in Chesterfield County Public Schools.
A digital Hall of Fame is available on the school system’s website with photos, biographies, and videos of all inductees. The initiative is a partnership between Chesterfield County Public Schools and the Chesterfield Education Foundation.
Sponsors for this year’s induction gala included TowneBank as title sponsor, Google as gold sponsor, and Bob Dalton of Long & Foster as silver sponsor.
Nominations for next year’s Hall of Fame class are now open online until Aug. 31 for former employees and volunteers.
