On Sunday, April 13, former Benedictine College Preparatory standout Spencer Baird’s current college team, the Lynchburg Hornets, won 16-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Averett Cougars.
The game took place at Owen-Fulton Field. This was their second matchup against the Cougars this season.
The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at James C. Fox Field against Virginia Wesleyan Marlins.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts announced it is mourning artist Mary Lovelace O’Neal following news that she passed away May 10. The museum highlighted both an ongoing exhibition dedicated to her work as well as upcoming events celebrating her legacy.
