Karen Elligers Joins Vandeventer Black's Erisa & Employee Benefits and Trust & Estate Planning Team

Virginia Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 18

Vandeventer Black LLP is pleased to announce that Karen Elligers is joining our firm as Of Counsel. Elligers’s primary focus is on complex trusts and estates.

“I am excited to join Vandeventer Black’s interdisciplinary team of attorneys and to continue to serve clients within my areas of experience, as well as benefit them with other market-leading legal services provided at the firm,” said Elligers.

In addition to trusts and estates, Elligers is seasoned in drafting, revising, reviewing, and filing Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO) and related retirement plan division orders, including those for TSP, 401(k), 403(b) accounts, traditional pensions, and military pension benefits. Her extensive experience with QDRO’s has provided her with a unique understanding of the complex federal, ERISA, IRC, and state laws governing the QDRO drafting and approval.
