Virginia Union University Athletics issued the following announcement on March 10
Virginia Union University's Charles Hall and Micah Kipruto medaled at the 2022 CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held on February 13-14 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Hall. a junior from Trenton, N.J., who is majoring in Marketing, finished second in the men's long jump with a leap of 6.97 meters while Kipruto, a senior from Lessos, Kenya, who is majoring in Biology, placed third in the men's 5,000 meters with a time of 16:48.9.
"If there is no struggle, there is no progress," said Interim VUU Track & Field Coach Franck Charles.
