Kings Dominion Debuts New Tumbili Coaster and Themed Area, Jungle X-Pedition

20

Kings Dominion’s newest thrill ride, Tumbili (toom-bee-lee), makes its debut this weekend on Opening Day, Saturday, March 12, as the park opens for its 48th season. Guests also will experience the amusement park’s newest themed area, Jungle X-Pedition.

“Tumbili is unlike any other ride experience at Kings Dominion and is the perfect addition to our park’s impressive roller coaster lineup,” said Vice President and General Manager Bridgette Bywater. “And I’m just as excited for Jungle X-Pedition, the new area that surrounds Tumbili. With its jungle overlays, interesting landscaping and unique culinary offerings and summer entertainment options, it’s sure to be an immersive and memorable experience for our guests.”

Tumbili is a thrilling roller coaster that suspends riders on either side of the track as the cars flip continuously throughout the ride. This 4D Spin Coaster, the first in the region, will give riders the feeling of weightlessness as they cruise along the track.

Guests will experience Tumbili in Kings Dominion’s new, immersive Jungle X-Pedition area of the park. They will also find two re-themed family favorites – Reptilian (formerly Avalanche) and Arachnidia (formerly Scrambler) – along with two new dining experiences, The Jungle Market Eatery and Excavators’ Taters. Additional entertainment and food offerings will be added during the season.

For most up-to-date hours of operation, please visit kingsdominion.com. Guests can be among the first to experience the new Jungle X-Pedition area and Tumbili with the purchase of a 2022 Gold Season Pass or a free Kings Dominion Pre-K Pass that provides children between three and five years of age with complimentary admission all season long.
