Senior Adrian Vagberg (Sollentuna, Sweden) completed his decorated VCU career Sunday at the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club.
Vagberg shot 76-75-78 this week to finish 19-over in 116th place at the prestigious 7,289-yard, Par 70 course. He did not make the cut to advance to Monday's fourth round.
It marked the completion of a month in which Vagberg cemented his status in program history with an Atlantic 10 Conference individual title, as well as a sixth-place finish at the NCAA New Haven Regional. Vagberg, who recently graduated from VCU with a degree in Physics, was also named the recipient of the NCAA Elite 90 Award Sunday, which is given to the championship participant with the highest cumulative grade-point-average.
Vagberg is the third Ram all-time and the first since 2003, to advance to the NCAA Championships as an individual.
