HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU and Loyola were tied 5-5 early before a 9-0 run by the Rams, capped off by a Griffith-Wallace jumper, gave the Rams a 14-5 lead. VCU took a 14-7 advantage into the second quarter
- In the second quarter, the Ramblers got within 29-25 before Lewis-Eutsey rebounded her own miss and scored to give VCU a 31-25 lead at the half
- Loyola started the third quarter on a 6-0 run to tie the game at 31-31 with 8:07 left
- VCU trailed 34-33 with 6:49 remaining in the third quarter before going on a 20-7 run, spanning across quarters, that gave the Rams their biggest lead of the game at 54-40 with 6:41 left in the game
- Loyola would get no closer than eight points the remainder of the game as VCU held off the Ramblers for the win
