The Short Story: The Rams got back in the win column by beating their first A-10 opponent with wins on court two, three, four, and five

 

OPENING SERVE:

  • Graduate Student Victoria Smirnova and freshman Emma Valletta won on court two in doubles but the Rams were unable to gain the point with a loss on court one and a forfeit on court three
  • Freshman Victoria Matasova gained the Rams their first point on court three with a crushing 6-0, 6-2 victory
  • On court five, freshman Emma Valletta got the job done for the Rams, 6-4, 6-2
  • Taking care of business on court two was sophomore Yelizaveta Karlova who won 6-3, 6-0
  • The clinching point came from sophomore Anja Draskovic on court four, winning 6-1, 6-3
