6% of citizens unemployed in Richmond city in 2021

Richmond city recorded an unemployment rate of 6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 7,624 people out of the 225,676 living in Richmond city at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Richmond city has decreased compared to the 6.3% registered in 2020.
