Henrico County Government has recently shared significant updates regarding Taylor Farm Park and its achievements. The park, located in Henrico County, has gained national recognition for its innovative design and community engagement.

On June 10, 2025, the Henrico County Government announced that “Varina District Supervisor Tyrone Nelson is noting that Taylor Farm Park recently was recognized by the National Recreation and Park Association with the organization’s 2025 Innovation in Park Design award. It’s the first time a Henrico park has garnered a national award.” This accolade marks a milestone for the county’s parks as it is their first national award.

In another update on June 10, 2025, it was highlighted that “The nature-themed park was designed with extensive input from residents and offers an array of features. Since opening last July it has become Henrico’s most-attended park.” The involvement of local residents in the design process underscores the community-centric approach adopted for this project.
