Virginia Union University Athletics issued the following announcement on Jan. 23
Virginia Union University's Ymani Breedlove scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but Lincoln University of Pennsylvania defeated the Lady Panthers 69-51 on Saturday, January 22, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
VUU's Chris Alston also scored 10 points for the Lady Panthers while teammate Ceanna Kinney had 10 rebounds in the game.
"We came out with a rough third quarter, scoring only six points to their 24," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry. We had a game plan to limit (Lincoln's Bryanna Brown)'s scoring, yet she still scored 19 points in the game. One of our team goals was 12 assists and we only had 10. We came out of halftime flat and we didn't get scoring from where we usually get scoring from."
