KARLOVA AND MATASOVA EARN ITA RANKING
Sophomore Yelizaveta Karlova and freshman Victoria Matasova made the Intercollegiate Tennis Association fall season rankings which features the top 125 singles players and the top 60 doubles teams, the ITA announced today.
Karlova and Matasova have been ranked no. 30 in the doubles listings as the pair posted a record of 6-2 this fall after being not ranked last season.
A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Karlova made the Atlantic-10 first team last season after having an overall record of 17-15 in singles and 15-11 in doubles.
Matasova joins the Rams for her first collegiate season from Malye, Kabany, Russia. In the fall season, she won a singles match at the ITF $15,000 tournament in Lubbock, Tx. Matasova previously ranked 181 in the ITF junior singles and doubles rankings.
