Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan has taken to social media to voice her opinions and concerns regarding recent issues involving government actions and policies. McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district, shared her views in a series of tweets on April 15, 2025.

In her first post, McClellan drew attention to an incident involving what she described as wrongful detainment. She illustrated a scenario: "Imagine you’re driving home with your five year old. You’re pulled over, accused of being in a gang and shipped to a notorious prison in El Salvador with no hearing. Officials admit they sent you by mistake, in defiance of a court order, and just ignore a unanimous SCOTUS".

Later that day, McClellan addressed concerns about proposed changes affecting social security. In her opinion, "The Trump Administration and Elon Musk claimed they’d fight for working families. Now, they’re trying to cut Americans’ hard-earned Social Security to fund tax cuts for their billionaire friends. 153,723 VA-04 residents receive monthly Social Security benefits. On today’s". This statement reflected her apprehensions about how these changes might impact beneficiaries in her district.

McClellan also pointed her audience to a video segment for additional context and insights, encouraging engagement through the media: "Watch the full segment here: https://t.co/GGHoWo9o31".
