Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district since 2023, recently shared a series of tweets addressing both celebratory and serious matters. McClellan, who succeeded Donald McEachin in Congress, has a background in the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate.
On February 10, 2025, McClellan extended her congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles for their Super Bowl victory. She highlighted the achievement of Richmond native Mekhi Becton, saying "Congratulations to the @Eagles on their Superbowl win last night — especially Richmond native Mekhi Becton! ".
Later that day, she commented on Russell Vought's actions regarding the federal workforce and expressed concern over former President Trump's alleged targeting of FBI agents involved in January 6th investigations. She stated "Russell Vought said he wanted to put the federal workforce in trauma. His actions and Trump’s purge and persecution of FBI agents involved in January 6th Capitol insurrection investigations is taking its toll as their families live in fear."
In another tweet posted simultaneously, McClellan urged her followers to read a letter from one of her constituents published in RVA Magazine. The letter details personal experiences related to the issues mentioned earlier. She tweeted "Read the chilling letter from one of my constituents — the spouse of an FBI agent — printed in @RVAmag ".
