Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district, recently shared her insights and experiences through a series of tweets. These posts provide a glimpse into her journey to Congress, as well as her current legislative concerns.

On March 18, 2025, McClellan reflected on her educational journey at the University of Richmond. She wrote: "My path to Congress began at @urichmond, where I took almost every class Dr. Dan Palazzolo taught. Today, I returned to campus to speak to his U.S. Congress class to recount my journey and discuss what the U.S. House is really like!"

The following day, March 19, 2025, she addressed potential impacts of proposed Medicaid cuts by Republicans in two separate tweets. In the first tweet she stated: "Republican Medicaid cuts will ripple across our entire health care system, causing irreparable damage to our hospitals and community health centers." She also mentioned visiting Daily Planet RVA and speaking with healthcare representatives about these issues.

Later that day, McClellan expressed concern over a budget plan passed by House Republicans which would necessitate Medicaid cuts for tax breaks for billionaires. She tweeted: "House Republicans passed a budget plan that will require Medicaid cuts to fund tax breaks for billionaires." McClellan noted joining Senator Hashmi and Mark Sickles VA along with patients and providers in discussing the negative impact these cuts could have on Virginia residents.
