Jennifer McClellan announces initiatives on YouTube series and legislative actions

Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district, recently shared updates on her legislative activities and initiatives through a series of tweets. McClellan, who succeeded Donald McEachin in 2023, has been actively engaging with her constituents and fellow lawmakers to address various issues.

On November 19, 2024, McClellan announced the release of a new episode of "Moments with McClellan," featuring Representative Joe Neguse. The episode is available on YouTube. "Check out my new episode of Moments with McClellan with @RepJoeNeguse now live on Youtube."

Later that day, she reported collaborating with Representative Jen Kiggans and other lawmakers to urge House and Senate Armed Services leadership to include measures in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for protecting service members from toxic PFAS chemicals. "Today, @RepJenKiggans joined me in leading 11 lawmakers in a letter to House & Senate Armed Services leadership calling on them to include provisions in the NDAA to protect service members from toxic PFAS chemicals."

On November 20, 2024, McClellan introduced a resolution designating November as Prematurity Awareness Month. This initiative aims at encouraging Congress and communities to tackle preterm birth causes and support prevention programs. "Today, I introduced a resolution designating November as Prematurity Awareness Month."
