On December 4, McClellan commenced the Capitol Hill Holiday Season alongside colleagues at a reception hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. She expressed her participation in this event through social media: "Kicked off the Capitol Hill Holiday Season with my colleagues at the @VP and @SecondGentleman holiday reception!"

Later that day, she extended congratulations to Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity on their anniversary: "Happy 118th Founders' Day to the men of Alpha Phi Alpha!" This post marks an acknowledgment of a significant milestone for one of America's oldest African American fraternities.

In another engagement on December 4, McClellan noted her participation as part of Christopher Newport University’s inaugural class of Distinguished Virginians.
