Jennifer McClellan reflects on Pearl Harbor Day and health equity recognition

Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates via social media. McClellan has been serving in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. Her educational background includes a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia.

On December 7, 2024, Congresswoman McClellan paid tribute to those affected by the attack on Pearl Harbor. She stated, "Today, we honor the 2,403 service members and civilians killed and 1,178 injured during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941."

Later that day, McClellan announced her appearance on a television program hosted by Katie Phang. She invited her followers to watch her conversation with Phang at noon. She tweeted, "Tune in to the @katiephangshow for my conversation with @katiephang today at 12pm!"

In another post made on December 7, McClellan expressed gratitude towards NOBEL Women for recognizing her as a Health Equity Champion alongside Representative Nikema Williams. She commented on her involvement in addressing health disparities across the nation: "Thank you @NOBELWomen1 for recognizing me as a Health Equity Champion alongside @RepNikema at your inaugural Assemblywoman Gwen Moore Policy Brunch."
