On December 11, 2024, Congresswoman McClellan announced the introduction of a bill aimed at supporting graduate and postdoctoral researchers' mental health. She stated: "I introduced a bill with @RepPaulTonko to support and improve graduate and postdoctoral researchers’ mental health. The MENTOR Act will help prevent depression, anxiety, and burnout in a field where work-related mental health concerns unfortunately run rampant."
