Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district since 2023, has recently shared her reflections and activities through a series of tweets. McClellan, who replaced Donald McEachin in the U.S. Congress, brings a background of legislative experience from her tenure in the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate.
On December 13, 2024, Congresswoman McClellan expressed gratitude towards her interns with a tweet stating: "Shoutout to my amazing VA-04 fall interns! Your hard work and dedication made a real impact. Thank you for your contributions and for being part of the team. Wishing you all the best in your next steps!"
In another post on December 14, she provided updates on congressional activities: "This week, we worked to finish outstanding business and fund the government. Check out this week’s updates!"
Later that day, McClellan commemorated the anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy with a tweet: "12 years ago today, 26 lives — 20 children and 6 adults — were violently taken in the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting. Weapons of war continue to be used to destroy families and devastate communities. We need stronger measures to prevent gun violence."
