Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district, has been active on social media, addressing various issues and engaging with constituents via Twitter. She served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate before replacing Donald McEachin in the U.S. Congress in 2023.

On April 16, 2025, McClellan announced her upcoming interactions with constituents in light of Congressional Republicans' avoidance of town halls. In a Twitter post, she stated, "As Congressional Republicans avoid constituent town halls to answer for their actions — or lack thereof — you can join me for TWO next week. I’ll answer constituent questions about what’s happening in Washington in Brunswick on 4/22, and at @HenricoNAACP’s town hall in Richmond."

Later the same day, McClellan shared a link directing followers to an article. The post simply read, "Read the article here:"

In another tweet on April 16, 2025, McClellan criticized the impact of the Trump Administration's policies on Virginia's health workforce. She wrote, "The Trump Administration has eviscerated our public health workforce and infrastructure, costing the already understaffed Virginia Department of Health $200 million and over 500 employees/contractors combatting COVID, bird flu, measles, and other public health threats."

McClellan, a Richmond resident, was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972, and she holds both a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia.
