Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district, shared her thoughts and experiences on social media on January 23, 2025. Her posts covered a range of topics from advancements in wireless technology to the importance of voting rights and maternal health awareness.

On January 23, McClellan reflected on her extensive legal career and its intersection with technological advancements. She stated, "My 25 year legal career saw tremendous change in the communications industry from wireline phones to an explosion in demand for WiFi and data." She expressed enthusiasm about joining the House Commerce Committee for a subcommittee hearing focused on enhancing American leadership in wireless technology.

Later that day, McClellan commemorated the anniversary of the 24th Amendment, which abolished the poll tax. She noted its significance by sharing a personal anecdote: "The 24th Amendment eliminating the poll tax became law 61 years ago today." She recounted taking her oath of office on a Bible where her father kept his poll tax receipt as a reminder of his struggle for voting rights. McClellan emphasized her commitment to protecting these rights.

In another post marking Maternal Health Awareness Day, McClellan highlighted disparities affecting Black mothers. Drawing from personal experience, she wrote, "Today is #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay! As someone who nearly died in childbirth, I know what’s at stake." She underscored that Black mothers face significantly higher risks during pregnancy and pledged to advocate for improved resources in Washington.
