Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th District in the U.S. Congress, shared updates and reflections on her recent activities through a series of tweets. McClellan, who succeeded Donald McEachin in 2023, has been vocal about local aviation needs and national political issues.
On February 1, 2025, McClellan tweeted about her visit to Dinwiddie Airport. She discussed plans for the Tri-Cities Executive Terminal and explored collaborative opportunities to address aviation needs in the region. "While in Dinwiddie, I visited the Tri-Cities Executive Terminal at Dinwiddie Airport to discuss their plans and how we can work together to meet the aviation needs of the Tri-Cities region."
Later that day, she addressed past challenges during the Trump-Vance Administration, expressing her continued commitment to serving her constituents despite those difficulties. "The Trump-Vance Administration wreaked havoc on our nation with erratic and illegal power grabs, but I still worked to talk with and help the people of VA-04."
In another tweet on February 1, 2025, McClellan criticized tariffs imposed by former President Trump. She warned that these tariffs could lead to increased prices on various goods and potentially instigate a trade war detrimental to farmers and manufacturers. "Trump’s tariffs will raise prices on countless goods and services from groceries to toys to home building and more."
