Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. McClellan, who succeeded Donald McEachin in 2023, shared her concerns and legislative efforts with her followers.

On March 4, 2025, McClellan highlighted the impending government shutdown unless a funding bill is passed by Congress. She criticized the Trump Administration and Republicans for prioritizing "billionaire donors like Elon Musk over hard working American people." "In 10 days, we face a government shutdown unless Congress passes a funding bill. But the Trump Administration and Republicans run the same old playbook of prioritizing billionaire donors like Elon Musk over hard working American people."

Later that day, she invited her audience to watch her full remarks via an online link. "Watch my full remarks here: https://t.co/pqyWnWkoiu"

Additionally, on March 4, 2025, McClellan announced that the Energy & Commerce Committee had advanced several bills. Among them was legislation she co-sponsored with Jay Obernolte aimed at strengthening U.S. cybersecurity and protecting communications networks from cyber threats posed by foreign adversaries and criminals. "Today the Energy & Commerce Committee advanced several bills, including my bill with @JayObernolte to strengthen U.S. cybersecurity and protect U.S. communications networks from increased cyber attacks from foreign adversaries and criminals."
