Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia's 4th district since 2023, has made recent announcements and comments on social media. Her communications include information on an art competition and criticism of a previous administration's actions.

On March 13, 2025, Congresswoman McClellan announced the opening of applications for the annual Congressional Art Competition for high school artists living in her district. She stated: "Calling all high school artists living in VA-04! Applications are now open for the annual Congressional Art Competition. Submit your original artwork by Tuesday, April 22nd for a chance to have it displayed in the U.S. Capitol!"

In a follow-up post on the same day, she provided additional resources for potential applicants: "More information can be found here:" with a link to further details.

Later that day, McClellan addressed issues concerning federal workforce management during the Trump Administration. She expressed strong disapproval of employment practices that affected numerous federal employees, stating: "In its assault on our federal workforce, the Trump Administration summarily fired thousands of employees with less than a year of service in their current role, sometimes with little or no notice. This is cruel and unlawful." She also commended Judge William Alsup for his actions related to this issue.
